If one walk for 30 minutes a day, five days a week, this is more than adequate. Take the stairs over the elevator or escalator. Park far away from your destination and walk there. The object here is just to get you used to using muscles that you do not use very often, and to help you develop a lifestyle that is not quite sedentary.
